Moving the blog - any comments?
Hello to all my millions of loyal readers 
As I’ve had numerous problems with getting this blog to look right, hosted by www.blog.com, I’m considering moving to blogger, since I like the look of eg http://worldsgreatestmusic.blogspot.com and it seems easily customisable.
It shouldn’t affect you the reader, since the blog will still redirect through from www.breakingtheshell.com

Hi Ben. Do change to Blogger! You will soon notice how user friendly it is.
Please change, the format on the current blog is just too difficult to read.
Hi Ben, I use Blogger and find it very easy to customize and post a blog. I like this format too, but can imagine the font can be difficult to read.

Yeah its a good decision to move to blogspot.com which has lots of scope to design/adding gadget etc.

Well, I’m going against the majority here. After been a blogger since the beginning of 2004 and getting sick and tired of all the bugs and problems, not mentioning the hacks (yes my blog was stolen once, quite common on blogger) I decided to take the plunge and go with Wordpress and I’m not regretting having done the change. My new blog http://www.manuelavalenti.com/blog is more powerful than the one I used to have on blogger, I have more control over the design, more and better stats without having to resort in 3rd party services and tons of features.

Funny how “Breaking The Shell” is trapped in a “shell” of sorts… On the brighter side.. guess that’s where you start in the first place if you want to break the shell..
On moving, seriously you must consider wordpress. Its powerful, flexible, extensible and robust. all of my clients are on wordpress and every single one of them have loved it and still call me to thank for recommending it to them. wordpress all the way. find out how smoooooooth it is for yourself.
hi ben, blogger is a great platform, however, i must agree with Anonymous, you should consider moving to your own wordpress hosting. This can be done easily on your own hosting platform (see http://www.wordpress.org) for more info).
The current format is not very easy to read, especially as it seems to give only a small / thin band for your text.

Don’t go with Blogger. Go with either WordPress.com or WordPress.org.

Anything that improves the user’s experience is a valuable, progressive step, that will provide more net gain of communication delivered than the minor loss of reader adjustment (if any). On reflection, the blogs I like best for looks, readability and structure seem to be mostly products of WordPress.
